Passengers who have flights after 14 days and later

If you have not received information that the flight is cancelled, that means it will be operated according to the airline’s schedule. Status of your flight can be checked on the airline’s website, you can do it through “Manage my booking” or “My booking”. 

Important: airlines policy regarding COVID-19 is changing all the time. We are doing the best we can in order to keep information up to date. Please check airlines websites in order to find all your tickets related information. 

Information, which is relevant to countries you are going to, is possible to find in destination countries embassies or official government pages. In these websites you can find all information how countries are fighting COVID-19 and what kind of restrictions are applying for incoming travelers. More and more countries are shutting down their boards for foreign travellers.

Flights

Airlines cancelled some of their flights and for the ones which are operated they are added flexible date or route change rules. More information about airlines policy regarding changes or cancellations you can see below or in the airline websites.

How can I change or cancel my flight?

For all airlines, you will be notified by us as soon as something changes in your itinerary within 30 days from now. You will not receive any updates for bookings with departures of more than 30 days. Do you want to change your flight booking yourself? Then follow the regular change / cancellation procedure. Due to the increased number of requests, it has been decided to give priority to all requests with a departure date within 30 days. We count on your understanding and will try to assist every customer as good as possible.

What happens if the airline cancels my flight?

Are you leaving within 30 days and has your flight been canceled by the airline? You will receive a personal message from us and we will initiate the refund procedure. There are no further actions needed from your side. Sõltuvalt lennuettevõtja poliitikast on teil õigus tühistatud pileti eest saada reisikrediiti või tagasimakset.

„Aeroflot“ airline

At the moment this airline is suggesting date or route change, new dates being till 31st of December or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier. This means customers do not need to pay a penalty fee, but if changes for new dates are more expensive, they need to cover price differences. 

Aeroflot airline is planning to suspend flights to Tallinn between 19th of March and 23rd of April. Passengers whose flights are cancelled or they fall under applicable travel restrictions (cancellation of visa or they are not allowed to enter a country due to a border closure) also can apply for a money refund. Each refund request will be checked individually. As soon as the airline confirms partial or full refund, we will answer to your request.

„Airbaltic“ airline

At the moment “Airbaltic” airline is  suspending flights from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn in order to stop COVID-19 spread around Europe. Flights suspension will be between 17th of March and 14th of April. 

Passengers whose flights are cancelled will receive a letter from the airline directly or from bookinghouse.ee agents, there they will be able to get a credit for future flights with “Airbaltic” or they can choose alternative dates. 

If you received a letter from the airline directly, please follow instructions which are written in the email.

If you received an email from bookinghouse.ee, please choose a money refund or confirm new flight dates in your self-service. 

Flights which are not cancelled yet, but tickets issued between 9th of March and 31st of March, passengers can choose date change and pay only the price difference between old ticket and new ticket. New dates have to be within ticket validity. Refund is possible only according to original ticket rules. Each refund request we are checking individually.

„Austrian airlines“ 

This airline allows date change for tickets issued till 31st of March. New dates can be chosen till 31st of December or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier. If passengers will not use their original flight they need to inform bookinghouse.ee about this decision before departure date, but they can make decisions about new dates till 31st of May.

“Austrian” airlines are planning to suspend their flights between 18th of March and 28th of March in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. They are planning to expand the suspension period till 19th of April. If your flight is cancelled, you will be informed by bookinghouse.ee. There you can choose an alternative flight or refund. Please follow instructions which are indicated in the email.

If you cannot use your ticket regarding travel restrictions – inform us, we will contact the airline and they will make individual decisions regarding your ticket.

„Belavia“

Airline is planning to suspend some flights between Tallinn and Minsk. This suspension will be between 21st of March and 21st of April. Full list of suspended flights you can find here. For passengers whose flight was cancelled the airline suggests money refund or date/route change till 31st of December or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier. 

Flights which are not cancelled, money refund and date/route change is possible only according to original ticket rules.

„Brussels“ airlines

This airline allows date/route changes for tickets issued till 12th of March, original flight dates being till 30st of April, to pay only the price difference fee between old ticket and new ticket. If passengers decide to use this offer they need to inform us before the original flight departure, but they can make decisions about new dates till 30st of May. New flight dates have to be no later than 31st of December or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier. 

“Brussels” airlines are planning to suspend their flights between 21st of March and 19th of April in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. If your flight is cancelled, you will receive information from the airline of bookinghouse.ee. Please follow instructions indicated in the email.

“Easyjet airlines” 

EasyJet offers to their customers who wish to change their travel plans to transfer their flights to alternative dates and/or an alternative destination without a change fee, but passengers will need to pay a price difference fee between old and new booking. This waiver applies to both existing and new bookings until further notice from the airlines.

About flight cancellations airlines will inform passengers directly. Please follow instructions which are mentioned in the email. You will have the option to choose alternative dates or money refund for tickets.

„Finnair“

Airline allows date change for tickets issued till 30st of April. This means travellers will need to pay only the price difference between old ticket and new ticket. New flight dates can be no later than 30st of November or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier. 

Finnair is planning to suspend some flights between Helsinki, Tallinn and Tartu. This suspension will be between 17th of March and 31st of March. Some of the flights might be cancelled till the end of April. 

Passengers whose flights are cancelled airline offers refund or alternative flight dates. Information regarding cancellation you will receive directly from the airline or from bookinghouse.ee, in this case please follow instructions which are indicated in the email.

„LOT Polish airlines“

Airline is planning to suspend some flights until 28th of March.

They are planning to expand the suspension period till 11th of April.  Passengers whose flights were cancelled will receive information from the airline directly or from bookinghouse.ee. Please follow instructions which are indicated in the email. Passengers will be able to choose alternative dates or money refund for tickets. 

If flight is not cancelled, the airline offers to change date/route. Each change will be checked individually, but passengers will need to pay a price difference between the old ticket and the new ticket. Refund only according to ticket rules.

„Lufthansa“ airlines

This airline offers date changes paying only the price difference between old ticket and new ticket. Offer available for tickets issued till 31th of March. New flight dates till 31st of December or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier. If customers choose to use this offer, they need to inform us that they will not use their ticket before departure of their original flight, but can send new dates before 31st of August.

For tickets issued before 22nd of March airline allows to make date/route change and they need to pay only the price difference between old ticket and new ticket. New flight dates have to be not later than 30st of November or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier.

Passengers whose flights are cancelled will receive email from the airline directly or form bookinghouse.ee. Please follow instructions which are indicated in the email. Passengers will have the option to choose alternative flights or money refund.

„Ryanair”

“Ryanair” airline reduced the number of their operating flights, but they gave an option for passengers whose tickets were issued till 31st of March to make date/route changes and pay only the price difference fee between old ticket and new ticket. 

If your flight is not cancelled, you cannot apply for refund, tickets are non refundable.

If your flight is cancelled the airline will inform you directly. Please follow instructions which are indicated in the email. You will have the option to choose alternative dates or request for ticket refund.

„Scandinavian airlines“

For tickets issued before 12th of March and flight dates being till 14th of April, the airline offers the possibility to pay only the price difference between old ticket and new ticket or you can get credit (which is the equal amount which you pair for your tickers) for future tickets with Scandinavian airlines. . 

Passengers who will choose credit for future flights, they need to use it for new flights before 30st of November on any route with “Scandinavian” airlines.

If your flight is not cancelled and your travel dates between 14th of April and 30st of April, passengers will have an option to change flight date/route and pay only the price difference between old ticket and new ticket. New flight dates must be not later than 30st of November or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier.

Passengers whose flights are cancelled will receive an email from the airline directly or from Bookinghouse.ee. Please follow instructions which are indicated in the email. Passengers will have the option to choose alternative flight dates or money refund.

„Turkish Airlines“

For tickets issued before 31st of March and flight dates being till 31st of December, the airline gives an option to change the dates and pay only price difference fee between old ticket and new ticket. New flight dates have to be not later than 28th of February, 2021 or during ticket validity, whichever date is earlier.

For flights which are not cancelled money refund is possible only according to the original ticket fare rules.

Turkish airlines will suspend flights between Tallinn and Isambul. Flights suspension will be between 27th of March and 17th of April.  Passengers whose flights were cancelled will receive an email from the airline directly from bookinghouse.ee. Please follow the instructions which are indicated in the email. Passengers will have an option to choose alternative flight if it is possible or money refund for a ticket.

„Ukraine international“

For tickets issued before 12th of March and flight dates being between 13th of March and 8th of April, the airline allows passengers to change the date once and to pay only the price difference fee between old ticket and new ticket. New flight dates should be after 8th of April but not later than a year from the date when your ticket was issued. 

For tickets issued after 12th of March the same one time date change option possible. New dates should be in a year from the date your ticket was issued.  But passengers need to keep the same route.

If passengers require date change, they need to inform us before their original flight departure time.

Passengers whose flights are cancelled will receive an email from bookinghouse.ee or from the airline directly. Please follow instructions which are indicated in the email. Passengers will have an option to choose an alternative flight if it is possible or money refund for a ticket.

„Wizzair“

Airline to suspend their flights from Lithuania, Estonia and some other countries. Flight suspension will be from 17th of March till 30st of March. About flight cancellations airlines will inform passengers directly. Please follow instructions which are mentioned in the email. You will have the option to choose alternative dates or money refund for tickets.

If your flight is not cancelled and the airline does not offer a money refund, but you cannot fly due to travel restrictions, please inform us. We will contact the airline and they will make a decision based on your situation.

  3. INFORMATION FROM AUTHORITIES

As of 17th of March, border control in Estonia will be temporarily restored and entry will be restricted. Estonian citizens and residents of Estonia who have an Estonian residence permit or right of residence, as well as their close relatives, will be able to enter the country after that. There is also an exception for foreigners traveling through Estonia to their home country.

When entering Estonia, you will need to provide information at your border checkpoint about your itinerary, travel companions, potential exposure to infectious people, and whether you have symptoms of viral diseases in recent days.

As of 17th of March, all travelers must pass border control upon arrival in Estonia. Please make sure you bring valid travel documents when returning to Estonia.

Despite restrictions on movement, Estonian citizens have the right to leave the country if they wish, although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against doing so. Several countries have reintroduced border control and restricted the entry of foreigners. There is an entry ban for my travel destination, what to do?

Currently, there are entry bans for many countries. Please view the complete overview of all countries where an entry ban applies. Entry travel bans for your destination should be seen separate from the airline’s policies. First check the conditions per airline. For cancellations or changes from the airline within 30 days, we or the airline will contact you. If your flight departs later than in 30 days, we ask you to postpone contacting us.
